The David Bosomworth Endowment for the Arts
David Bosomworth was a strong supporter of every aspect of Arts of the Albemarle – his leadership, profound intellect and passion for making a difference shone through in his support of AoA. He believed strongly in the prospect of making our community a better place in which to live, work and play through vibrant cultural offerings. His passion for music and performance coupled with his love of this community led close friends Blair and George Jackson, wife Phyllis and her parents Pete and Pat Reid to establish an endowment in his honor to provide educational opportunities for children through the AoA School of the Arts.
AoA’s School of the Arts an ongoing, sequential, program where skills are developed in arts and crafts, drama instruction, chorus, and theater production. Participants are provided an opportunity to explore and develop confidence in their own creativity, which has proven to be critical in youth development. Through your contribution to the David Bosomworth Endowment for the Arts, managed by the North Carolina Community Foundation, AoA will be able to continue providing these life enriching opportunities for area children for years to come.
